Bagerhat District situated in Khulna division, with an area of 3,959.11 sq km and is bounded by Gopalganj and Narail districts on the North, Bay of Bengal on the South, Gopalganj, Pirojpur and Barguna districts on the East and Khulna district on the West. Main rivers of this district are Panguchi, Daratana, Madhumati, Pasur, Haringhata, Mongla, Baleswar, Bangra and Goshairkhali. Annual rainfall is 1710 mm and average temperature is maximum 33.5 oC and minimum 12.5 oC. |
